Engineer Receives ASHRAE Distinguished Member Award KANSAS
CITY – Wallace Donley, P.E., Fellow Member, Life Member, has received a
Distinguished 50-Year Member Award from the American Society of Heating,
Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). The award was presented at the Society’s Annual Meeting held here June 28-July 2. The award is given to individuals who have been a member of the Society for a minimum of 50 years, and are a past society president, Fellow ASHRAE, Distinguished Service Award recipient or have performed outstanding services to ASHRAE or its predecessor societies.
Donley is president, W.L. Donley and Associates, Consulting Mechanical
Engineers, Fresno, California.
He is past Region X director and regional chair on the Board of Directors
and has served on the International Committee, Education Council, the Finance
Committee, the Nominating Committee, the Planning Committee and technical
committees on cogeneration systems, service water heating and thermal storage.
He also chaired the Honors and Awards Committee and the Life Members
Club.
He served two terms as president of the San Joaquin Chapter.
He is past president of the Consulting Engineers Association of
California and served on the Board of Directors of the American Consulting
Engineers Council.
He received the Exceptional Service Award in 2001, the Distinguished
Service Award in 1987 and was elevated to the grade of Fellow in 1977.
He is also th erecipient of a regional award of merit.
ASHRAE, founded in 1894, is an international organization of 55,000
persons. Its sole objective is to
advance through research, standards writing, publishing and continuing education
the arts and sciences of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and
refrigerating to serve the evolving needs of the public. |
