PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

Our April 8th Student Night/Chilled Beam Tour to Avenal was very well attended (including students), ran smoothly, and was both educational and fun. We had students, architects, and the usual suspects in attendance.

I want to thank Justin Fortmeyer for his hard work and success with lining up the tour, the charter bus, “lighter” beverages, great dinners, and for revisiting the role of Treasurer for the evening. Also thanks to Melissa Hobbs for her great service, and to Duckworth Environmental for the “older” beverages. See my photos on our chapter’s website at www.sjvashrae.org. Our last Chapter Meeting of the year will be May 6th the San Joaquin Country Club at Noon. The Speaker will be Erin Sperry with Fulton Heating Systems in New York. She will be speaking about Gas Absorption Heat Pump Systems. She will include their environmental energy impact, and how to achieve thermal efficiency over 100%.

FRIDAY APRIL 30th BBQ Lunch at Engineering West is the INAUGURAL EVENT FOR THE CSUF STUDENT CHAPTER OF ASHRAE! At tour of the Save Mart Center HVAC and Ice Rink System will follow. Come out and support our students and faculty! See flier for more information
