PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all members of the San Joaquin Chapter. I pray that you are getting your shopping done in time to relax with the ones you love sooner than later.

Due to some of the uncomfortable aspects of the Elbow Room’s outdoor patio, I’m pleased to announce that we will be starting the New Year in a new location for our January 7th, 2010 lunch meeting.

Austin’s Downtown Grill & Sports Bar, 820 Van Ness Ave (233-8866)
(Formerly known as “Hero’s Sports Lounge”)

It is North of Highway 41’s Van Ness Exit about 3 blocks, on the east side of Van Ness.

Parking is available in the spiral ramped parking structure (Inyo-Van Ness) across the street OR with parking meters in the area.

To help defray the cost of parking, and to give everyone a break in this tough economy, the charge at the door is dropping from $25 to $20!

When you walk in the front doors, head up the stairs in the back of the room.

After paying Keith Harris, our dutiful Treasurer at the door, check into the buffet line for Fettuccini Alfredo, Ham or Turkey Sandwiches, Chicken Caesar Salad, Potato Salad, and Green Salad. Tea and water is included.

I’m excited to announce that our speaker at the January 7th lunch meeting is Mr. Ted Kohlenberger, Manufacturer’s Representative with Refrigeration Equipment Specialists (RESCO) in Tustin, CA.

Presentation Title: “Applying Title 24 Energy Guidelines to Refrigerated Spaces - Opportunities Abound”.
